Lisa M. Carey
Education Advocate
Transition Advocate
Hi, I’m Lisa M. Carey 👋
As a mother of three incredible children with disabilities, I have navigated the challenging and intricate paths of the education system firsthand. The complexities of securing the right services for my children introduced me to the world of educational advocacy, where I found not just support but also a calling. An amazing advocate once stood by my side, guiding me through my children’s Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and igniting a passion within me to advocate for others in similar situations. This personal experience became the cornerstone of my professional journey, deeply rooting my approach in empathy, understanding, and real-life insights.
Experience:
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of families, helping them to navigate the often daunting education system and advocate for their children’s rights and needs. My experiences as both a parent and a professional have equipped me with a unique perspective and an unwavering dedication to the families I serve.
My philosophy is simple: every child deserves access to the best education possible, tailored to their unique abilities and needs. I approach each case with a blend of personal empathy and professional expertise, ensuring that families feel supported, heard, and empowered. I believe in collaborative problem-solving, transparent communication, and steadfast advocacy, always keeping the child’s best interests at the forefront.
