IHSS Virtual Workshop Series with Public Benefits Specialist Lisa Concoff Kronbeck

Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. PT, February 11 – March 4, 2025

Zoom webinar exclusively for Undivided Platform and Navigator members! If you’re not already a member, get a free 30 day trial to attend.

In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) funds support for children with disabilities in California who require extra care compared to their typically developing peers. The program requires some know-how to navigate, so Undivided’s Public Benefits Specialist, Lisa Concoff Kronbeck, is here to guide families through the process.

This series includes four weekly sessions:

  1. IHSS Introduction and Basics
Start here if you’re brand-new to IHSS or you want to make sure your child is receiving all the benefits they’re eligible for. We’ll cover how to apply for IHSS, how to become a parent provider or hire a third-party provider, and how to file an appeal, all with expert tips and walkthroughs in the Undivided app.
  2. Protective Supervision
Does your child require constant supervision to prevent accidentally hurting themselves? In this training session, we’ll dive into who is eligible for protective supervision, how many hours your child might get, and important tips to follow when applying.
  3. Paramedical and Personal Care Services
If your child requires extensive care at home due to their medical needs, we’ll teach you how to document those needs so that you can apply for extra IHSS hours to cover paramedical services.
  4. Why Understanding Your NOA Could Be the Difference in More Hours
The NOA you receive from IHSS can be hard to decipher. In this session, we’ll cover how to read the NOA so you know exactly how many hours your child is authorized for (and if it should be more), what else they could potentially qualify for, how to submit an appeal if your child isn’t getting enough hours, and more.

Each session includes interactive training with Lisa Concoff Kronbeck and an open Q&A. Join one session or all four weeks to get a full overview of IHSS, plus expert tips from Lisa. You’ll also learn how to use the Undivided platform to organize information and create an action plan.

Come prepared to take notes, get your questions answered, and accomplish your goals for your child’s care!
