Your Undivided membership paid by Regional Center
Undivided gives parents the knowledge, skills, and tools to access the care their children need across school, health insurance, public benefits, and social recreation.
Most families pay for Undivided directly so they can get started right away, and membership pays for itself quickly. If your child is an active Regional Center client, your Regional Center may be able to take over the cost of membership once your request is approved. Below are the steps for both Self-Determination and traditional Regional Center funding.

How to request an Undivided annual membership in a Self -Determination spending plan

Ensure that there is a parent education goal in the IPP. Here is an example: “For [Child’s] parents to better understand how to support [Child] in all aspects of life.”

Add an Undivided annual membership to the spending plan using parent coaching, parent consulting, or parent training. While every Regional Center may code differently, the code used for an Undivided membership is typically 371 or 331. ($149 Undivided Membership or $1148 including Navigator)

Once an Undivided membership is in the spending plan, you will need to let the FMS know you want to have Undivided added as a vendor, so Undivided can invoice for the membership.

Once your budget is approved, please contact accounts@undivided.io to share your approved membership type, service code, and FMS. (Undivided is already set up with all FMS providers, so they can pay us from your SDP budget.)

Undivided will set up your new subscription and issue an invoice to your FMS.
How to request an Undivided membership through the traditional Regional Center IPP process

If there is a parent training goal in your IPP, great. If not, request one. Email your service coordinator and ask for an IPP meeting to add it. Your Regional Center must hold the meeting within 30 days of your request. Here is an example goal: “[Child]’s parents will receive training and support to coordinate [Child]’s services across school, insurance, public benefits, and Regional Center.”

Send your service coordinator a request for Undivided in writing (email). Start with our request letter HERE and add your own details: which systems you are managing and one real example of something that almost fell through the cracks. Let them know Undivided is vendored through Redwood Coast Regional Center (vendor number PR1510, service code 102), so your Regional Center can pay us through courtesy vendorization.

Get the decision in writing (email). A verbal yes or no from your service coordinator is not enough. Ask them to confirm it by email.

If you are approved, email accounts@undivided.io with your Regional Center, your service coordinator’s name, and your approved membership type. We will set up your membership, or move your existing one to Regional Center billing, and invoice your Regional Center directly.

If the answer is no, do not stop there. Ask for a written Notice of Action (NOA). Your Regional Center is required to send one that explains the reason, and you have 60 days to appeal (15 days is better). Send us a copy of the NOA and we can help determine if an appeal is appropriate.
